Located at 90 Broadway, Menands, NY 12204, Picklers Pickleball Club operates as a pickleball court serving Menands in New York. This page gathers the practical details people usually look for before visiting: where it is, how to reach it, when it opens and how customers rate it.
Pickleball has become the fastest growing racquet sport in the country, and many parks and clubs now share tennis courts with painted pickleball lines or have converted courts outright. Dedicated pickleball facilities, indoor and outdoor, rent courts by the hour and run open play sessions where players rotate in. Padel, played on an enclosed court with glass walls, is arriving in the Sun Belt and big cities; platform tennis (paddle) is a winter game on heated, elevated courts in the Northeast and Midwest; racquetball and squash live inside athletic clubs and YMCAs; badminton and table tennis have their own clubs in most metro areas. Equipment is cheap to rent or borrow for a first session at nearly all of them.

Menands is in New York, in the Northeast, where four distinct seasons shape local life: hot humid summers, snowy winters that can close businesses for a day, and a dense pattern of towns where walking, transit and street parking all matter. Getting around Menands is easiest by car; street parking is metered in busy downtown areas, and most suburban businesses have their own lot. Ride-share apps such as Uber and Lyft operate across New York's larger cities, and public transit varies from extensive to minimal.

The owner is extremely unfriendly and seems to be on some-kind-of power trip. My friend and I reserved the slot for an open play the day before and drove 40 miles (each way) to play , but he did not allow me to play, siting that my sneakers were running shoes, not pickleball. These are new, New Balance with NON-MARKING, white soles, plenty tested on 4 other courts before. Offered a well-used, smelly, 1 size too-small sneakers for me to wear. Refused to refund the fees, too! Just so absurd to create an issue and lose customers for no reason, whatsoever. Quite a frustrating experience.. Not going back there

It is very rare for me to leave a negative review, as I generally try to avoid writing anything that could harm a business. However, this place is inexpensive for a reason. Management was consistently rude and unprofessional, and the owner is particularly obnoxious, which made the experience unpleasant. The facility lacks basic amenities, including a water fountain and natural light, and enforces a strict cancellation policy that charges you if you cancel within 24 hours (everybody else allow up to 2h) For a small additional cost (2.5$), I would much rather play elsewhere (True Pickleball!) and receive respectful, customer-focused service. Based on this experience, I would not return.

This could easily have been a five star. We checked this out for the first time yesterday. And we're new to pickleball. The courts were nice. The folks playing were really good people. However, the male front end was both incredibly rude and awkward. Walking in gathering my bearing he walks up and says "Shoes". No greeting or explanation. Just an uncomfortable stare as I'm trying to understand what's happening. And proceeds to lecture me about courts and salt and some other stuff. Baffled I just accepted it and was getting ready. Though at this point I'm frustrated about the encounter and am waiting to get onto the court. Trying to just cool off to get into the zone. The same man rolls up giving me crap about there needing to be 4 people on at all times. Again with a rude tone and an awkward stare. To which it was pointed out that there already was more then four, and other folks and different courts with the same situation. This was literally minutes after the first encounter. So while the request are totally understandable and viable, the staff handled it as poorly and unprofessionally as possible.

The owners are incredible nice and helpful. Courts are well maintained and clean. My husband and I have been participating in the leagues for the past several sessions and have had a lot of fun. Highly recommend!

In town for work from Niagara Falls Canada, and so happy to have found this place! Brand new Pickleball spot, Run by two lovely people, and each night I did the drop in sessions I met wonderful people and had a blast!! Awesome pizza place right beside it as well for post-play hunger.
